Ofir, I have looked over your list, and I like it. All of them make
sense, and they're things that people are used to.
You are right to say that our purpose here is to find a shared standard
based on things that have been used before, rather than develop something
entirely new that people have no experience with.
However, this is not enough. It's not enough to just put together things
we have into our standard. We would be foolish to do this blindly.
Rather, we should consider the logic of those that are already
standardized and see if they're acceptable.
Ctrl-A is a bad thing. The fact that it has been accepted by two
standards is totally irrelevant, because we must use our intelligence to
see that it causes problems, and therefore should not be in the standard,
lest we end up with a potentially dangerous standard.
Of those keypress you mentioned in your standard, there are only 3 that I
disagree with, and I've already mentioned them.
